According to the census population and housing
census of 2001 in the village of 110 residential buildings, all
single-family homes. Their average age is 29 years. The planned housing
development with a description of construction sites in the cadastral
territory Baska contains local plan, which in the coming years envisages
construction of 80 houses, an increase of about 320 people |

Village of its territory covered by the
cadastral territory of the Košice region, 3 km west of the county town
of Košice. Belongs to the district Košice-surrounding, the 113 villages
surrounding the provincial capital. Cadastral area municipalities
bordering the east side of the urban cadastre of Myslava, on the
northern side of the village of Nizhny Klatovy and southwest by the
municipalities of Bukovec, Little Ida and the CD-Lorinčík Košice.

Symbols of village:
Since 2004, the village of Baska entitled to use the symbols of the
village, which forms the coat of arms and flag Baška Baška.
The original seal of Baska, 1839. Round seal with the Hungarian
circle-writte "Baska hellysége petséttye" became the basis for the current
proposal coat of arms municipality.

Erb Baška is half- circle blue
shield at the bottom with green grass, which grows out of gold (yellow)
deciduous tree, after its two sides running right heraldic silver (white),
wild boar with a gold (yellow) armor (tusks, hooves).and flag.

The first
written mention of the preserve in 1247, but was rather the municipality.
It was founded by four German and four Slovak families. In 1427obec was
one of Frank Semsa was 10 and port. Porta is the gate, leading the way
in which the homestead is located, thus the entire farmstead with
several complete houses and farm buildings.
In the Basques in 1447 became the property of Kosice part timber-mining

village. For the first Czechoslovak Republic was Baska foothill
agricultural village.
From 1938 to 1945 was annexed to Hungary. In the past, people made their
living mainly through agriculture and the surrounding forest and oak
forest. The importance of forestry in the life of the population is also
evidenced initially maintained Baska seal of 1839. |

Weather
In
